Provenance:

The original Owner of British ancestry, was brought up and schooled in Australia. Before moving to India and then South Africa where he lived for an number of years. He was a Financial partner of a De Beers site holder. The rough diamond was purchased circa 1965 from De Beers, the source of the diamond was the Premier Mine in Cullinan Pretoria. The rough was cut and polished circa 1975. The stone has been part of a collection ever since and was gifted to one of the Grandchildren who is now the current owner.
