Vaudeville Mask.
There’s a rich vein of vaudeville running through Australian stage, screen and art. The Nimrod Theatre team marshalled this into a new kind of theatre and Martin Sharp created this now poster, for them. Inspired by vaudevillian “Mo” (an influence on Barry Humphries and many others). Martin used Roy Rene’s familiar chalk white face as the inspiration for this now classic Nimrod Theatre poster.
