Uluru Mandala.
Preparing to stage VOSS, I travelled from Adelaide to Alice Springs, by Ghan Train, then bused to Uluru, flew to Darwin, Broome, and back to Sydney to commence rehearsals. Along the way I encountered this work by the wonderfully named Dick Lechtleitner at an Alice Springs gallery. I didn’t meet the artist, nor hear the story behind the painting but, like a talisman, it’s accompanied me ever since.
