The anti-war musical that first brought many of the social issues around sex, race and gender into the popular domain, by singing about them. Today, HAIR might qualify as dinner music, but in its day it made governments quake, censors bristle and audiences dance on-stage. My Metro Theatre staging was the first Broadway musical to be reimagined by an Australian creative team. Signed.
