ADMINISTRATOR, CLIENT SERVICES-Shapiro Auctioneers, Sydney

Essential requirements:

Formal qualifications in art history or equivalent discipline; or demonstrated familiarity with art and antiques

Demonstrated art handling experience. High level administrative skills and experience

Demonstrated commitment to client service Computer literate (Windows, Word, Excel)

Experience with proprietary databases

Desirable:

Familiarity with cataloguing procedures

This is a full-time, support position to the national operations of Shapiro Auctioneers. The successful candidate will be working in a Front-of-House position in the Sydney Head Office and will be chiefly responsible for Client Services, including Website

maintenance and the maintenance of the various corporate client databases. They must be well presented and be able to work to conflicting deadlines in a dynamic, sometimes high pressure environment. They must be self-motivated and be able to demonstrate that they can work effectively without supervision. Occasional extended out-of-hours work can be expected during peak periods in the auction schedule.

Casual Employment Opportunities, Shapiro Auctioneers

Shapiro Auctioneers is seeking Casual Staff to assist with auction and gallery setup and clearance. These physical roles include display installation including picture hanging and window display coordination, as well as stock movement (furniture, artworks, ceramics and other objects), sale room set up, auction assistance and post sale break down. Casual hours are available during the week with occasional weekend and evening work during busy auction periods.
